About Me

I'm Mark and have been around for just a little longer than the Patriots have been in existance, having been born in Portsmouth, September 1959.

I'm married with 3 kids and 5 grandchildren (they're great fun, wish we'd had them 1st). 2009 is a big year for both myself and she who must be obeyed, as we are both the big 50 this year. I've promised myself a trip to Foxboro as my treat, and hers is that she can come too.

First picked up on The Patriots way back in the early 80's when channel 4 started showing the NFL and picked them because of the name including England

(like so many others did). Remember watching the superbowl against the Bears and getting all excited when we recovered the fumble early on and took the lead,

sadly it was all downhill from the 3rd minute. Found this forum a few years ago and joined the old site around 2005, a reader more than a poster, but trying to get more involved.

I like the sense of humour of a lot of the people on the site, and met some of them at Bodeans for the Superbowl 43. Also met a couple of the guys at Wembley in 2008, which was my first live game, and i'll be back there this year.

Update: The trip to Foxboro came off this year, Patriots 26-10 over The Falcons, brilliant weekend, even the rain on Game day didn't matter really. Wembley this year should be a fantastic weekend, and then there's always Bodeans in February for the Superbowl Party again.

Well Wembley was a fantastic weekend, great to meet so many of the members, roll on February.

Having taken on the task of "joint organiser" with Damien (KPF) of the Bodeans Party, I hope to be meeting up with a few of the old faces and hopefully a whole load of new ones this time around. See you at Bodeans for Superbowl 44 on Sunday 7th February 2010.

Bodeans was another good night this year, especially with the Saints getting the win. Unless Secret Seagull would like to take back the organising for next year, I'd be happy to do it again.

Make a note in your diaries for Sunday 6th February 2011, and get the Monday booked off work now!

Finally made a commitment to the "Official UK Patriots Roadtrip" this year, might even get to see Grandpa Favre playing QB.

That was one great roadtrip, great bunch of people, 3 great sports games and 3 wins, what more could anyone ask for. Time to start saving for next years trip (CBA permitting)
