Recommended Posts

Just wondering is there anything going on after the game?? Like is anyone going anywhere to watch the later games?? Does the Green Man show the games or anyone know where the later games will be shown??

GBTP at the Green Man continues after the game, mostly in the bar areas. Can't 'officially' comment on watching NFL there, but I'm sure they will be showing something sports related on their TV screens.

There's the bar over the road which did games a couple of years ago. It was where Stumaloo had the dubious honour of meeting Bristol Pat and me. Poor bugger. Can you two remember what it's called?

I'm going to be heading back to a venue in Central London after my post-game adventure last year!

This adventure included:

* Getting drunk in Wembley, and staying in a pub 'til silly o'clock

* Missing last train back to Central London

* Taking a combination of night buses to Central London

* Missing 1am train home to Brighton

* Going to a casino in Leicester Square and drinking 'til 5am

* Getting a 6am train from which I was meant to change to get home to Brighton

* Waking up somewhere near Eastbourne, waaaaay past the intended changing point

* Phoning into work "sick" :D

Needless to say, I've taken Monday off work this year

Ah but did you at any point wear a Budweiser beer bucket on your head? That is the question....

To be honest, there's ALWAYS that possibility. I just wouldn't have been sober enough to remember!

 That was priceless I'm sure I have photographic evidence of the deed somewhere.

Chris can you remember lying spreadeagled on the Poland Street pavement after the game that night? You were completely bolloxed :P

Sadly for Famille TBX we have to drive home 3 hours so that TBX Jnr can go back to university in Lancaster on the Monday. :( No day being taken off to celebrate the forthcoming blowout.

Man .. I think I was too far gone to even remember that. I do recall getting home with a large pair of Budweiser shorts on over my trousers. I've still got them.

What a wonderful night that was. The spirit of CT's Christmas Tree will be forever with us.

I remember getting a piggyback ride off someone (in our group, not a random stranger!) as we loped through Soho at about 4.30am..... also remember Mark skipping around giggling with his arms around one of the others. I also remember trying to stave off a horrific bout of exhaustion in the departure lounge at Heathrow as we waited to board our plane back!

We're staying at the Premier in Wembley itself so will be hanging around that area. Might try to find The Green Man.

That'll make it nice and easy to get back to our accom if I have a few.

I have no idea what I'll be doing after the game. All I do know is, I need to be back at Gatport Airwick to check in at 10:00 Monday morning for my QueasyJet flight back to sunny España!

And I definitely don't want to be hung over, as I have a one and a half hour drive from the airport back home and I guarantee I will see Guardia Civil Traffico (Spanish traffic cops, who love Brits for easy pickings) on my route!

I see the Sports Cafe is open to 6am Monday morning!

Wow, that almost sounds like a challenge to see it through.
