Superbowl Party

Recommended Posts

Guest Scouse Patriot

Hi guys,

I can't make it to London this year for the Superbowl Party as i have a Wedding the day before and im off to see Russel Brand the day after.

So i've been asking around and i've got 2 or 3 sports bars in Liverpool City centre willing to stay open and show the Superbowl if i get together more than 15 people to make it worth their while.

I managed to get one bar to prepare a buffet for us and i have managed to get another bar to allow us to order takeaways and bring pizzas etc.

Im going to town today to look at each place and will decide which venue is best.

I think i now have 15-20 people who are interested in attending but this is an open invitation to anybody who lives close by and would fancy coming.

Thanks

Anthony

I'll be interested in attending

Well your more than welcome mate, i went to town today and it's going to be in OSQA the new sports bar off Renshaw Street. Only a small place but got 3 plasma tele's on the walls, he is getting the chefs to do a buffet and he will of course be serving ale.

If you can let me know when you know your definately coming and if you are bringing anyone because the fella wants to know about a week before how many are coming etc.

Hope to see you there

Anthony

That sounds good...

But i cant for the life of me picture where Renshaw street is

Its erm, quite a big one, its the continuation of Lime Street! Has a big blown up church at the top (St Lukes I think its called) and has a stretch of the home and repair store Rapid all the way down. I think theres a circus casino on the other side, and its the main road you'd walk up to get to places like Bumper.

If your coming from the top of Bold Street and walking towards limestreet with Rapid on your left the sports bar is up the first street to your right :)

I walked past the bar the other day it looks pretty decent.

What time do you think the festivities will kick off?

Glad things are going well for you mate...had to cancel my attempts at holding a Belfast one as the bars etc were so unwelcoming of wanting to put the game on. The place i had talked to the most turned at the last minute and changed the deal i had with them. They wanted interest from 40-50 people...when i started getting close to that he said i couldnt guarentee they would turn up so wanted interest from one of the american football teams from Belfast but that was just working out too hard to get sorted out.

But as luck would have it an unnamed restaurant that i have links with has came through with a function room and food for just me and my friends at £20 per head with a ruddy big 50 inch plasma telly so we are ironing out the finer details today :)

Decent mate at least you don't have to sit in a house and watch it, thats exactly why i decided to organise a little bash. Pity the bars where being so strict over the amount of people they wanted though, I'm suprised they didn't try and come to some kind of entry fee agreement for less people.

Glad you have something sorted anyways, im sure you'll enjoy it all the same :)

Fair play to you Stu, hope your mates all appreciate the work put in.

Next year you could come over to Bodeans, book a cheap flight nice and early, it's not like we don't know what day it's going to be on.

Well just got home from my SB party in Liverpool and i have to say apart from the result the night went great. When they seen how many people i brought the management gave me free food and drinks all night :D, cant beat that.

Anyway 4 lads from Boston turned up who are over here in uni and i got talking to them. Apparently Boston has a pub called the Phoenix which is a Liverpool F.C pub. The lads supported Fulham but are dying to see a game at Anfield.

Hope you all enjoyed your nights regardless of the result :)
