husky71 31
The RT has been brought up in the Wembley 2013 thread so i thought I would at least bring up the Patriots 2013 opponents per Mike Reiss: Home Browns Steelers Saints Buccaneers AFC West* (probably Denver - here comes Manning!) Bills Dolphins Jets Away Ravens Bengals Falcons Panthers AFC South* (probably Houston) Bills Dolphins Jets
Buddfox 11
Would be fun to go and watch the Pats vs Bucs in Foxboro, having seen them last time in London...!
PSTAMP 22
Yup - I can see a Buccs or Browns being on offer. More interested in 2014 as that is a year we are planning a bucket list journey to see the leaves turn red..... NFCN and AFCW - Denver (Manning ), Raiders, Bears and Lions. All look good, providing Mrs PSTAMP (and maybe even Paul himself) and I can get tickets.
Grecian_Patriot 7
They all look like great games this year. Up for going on the road trip again this year.
Guest sanj2000
Thanks for the list Howard. Next year will be my first Road Trip, and whilst it would be amazing to see any game in Foxboro, the Browns and Bills are the least exciting - all the others have the potential to be exciting. Depending on money, I might even take a trip to Charlotte, as I think any game with Cam Newton has the potential be explosive in one way or another (but not as good as watching Tom Brady play!). waspie 51
Quite a few of my US friends are targeting the Carolina game. Charlotte's not the most exciting city in America, but there are some good bars downtown. It should be a pretty good party. Newton v Brady would be good to see.
Guest sanj2000
Waspie - are your friends going to the Panthers game to specifically watch Tom Brady v Cam Netwon? Even though Cam does use a Windows phone according to the adverts, he just looks like a very exciting quarterback, although he's struggled this year. I thought both the Panthers and Eagles would make the playoffs due to their dynamic quarterbacks - slightly off on those predictions....
Simon89 10
Hope to make my first RT this time, good selection of games there, assuming no chance for divison games I'd pick Steelers or Saints.
specialbruschidave 12
Even from New England, -"it's along way back to Tampa when you suck!" now, if we can get the whole of Foxboro stadium behind us singing this, would truly be a memorable roadtrip.
Djdshaw 13
I tend to agree I would stake money on us being offered either the Browns or Bucs, highly unlikely we would get divisional games & I would guess Broncos, Steelers & Saints would all be sold out quite easily

I thought both the Panthers and Eagles would make the playoffs due to their dynamic quarterbacks - slightly off on those predictions.... Mix of things. New stadium for a lot of people plus the chance to see Newton. But overwhelmingly because it looks the best city to spend a weekend for a non-divisional game. I was in Charlotte last time the Pats played there; it'll be fun. And what's wrong with a Windows Phone? Don't knock it if you haven't tried it. Or do you have a problem with the most responsive and customisable phone OS?
Guest sanj2000
Waspie - I thought you said that Charlotte as a city was a bit boring? It looks like getting to the Dolphins stadium via public transport is very difficult, otherwise a long weekend in Miami (perhaps with the girlfriend) also sounds appealing next year. I have seen the Windows phone ads, and Cam Newton's cooking advert is totally ridiculous, albeit funny. However, the Windows phone is prob better tham my old Nokia N8 with Symbian - a now defunct operating system!
patman 12
Any chance of tickets for the Broncos - it would be great to witness the Tom v Peyton rivalry.

I was surprised how easily I got hold of a decent ticket in Denver last year, at the peak of Tebow Mania. Great city to visit.
DG31 18
HOME TEAM Denver Broncos Pittsburgh Steelers New Orleans Saints Miami Dolphins Tampa Bay Buccaneers New York Jets Buffalo Bills Cleveland Browns Officially confirmed on the patriots.com website. We USUALLY get offered the inter-conference games so I'd love to see us play the Saints (of course we can't discuss in too much detail before the schedule is announced as certain dates, e.g. around Christmas, are out for a lot of would-be trippers) though I agree with others that Browns or Buccs are our most likely options. Guest sanj2000
The home and away teams confirmed : http://www.patriots.com/news/article-1/2013-Patriots-Opponents-Announced/39e9fdca-4b96-422b-aaaa-190b0cb874f0 The away teams for 2013 are Atlanta Falcons Houston Texans Baltimore Ravens Cincinnati Bengals Miami Dolphins Carolina Panthers New York Jets Buffalo Bills As much as I'd like to see Cam Newton play, I'm more likely to go - apart from the Road Trip of course - to the Atlanta or Houston games as there's sightseeing that can be combined (NASA's Johnson Space Centre sounds good for the latter); plus the stadiums are easy to get to without a car. Swindon Patriot 68
What time of you do you aim for regarding the road trip? And how long do you stay? Once the schedule is released either Mandy or Papa Laz will start a topic that will allow members to vote for which game they would "prefer" to go to. The result of this vote is then given to the Patriots organisation via our contacts in the States. This usually takes the form of 1st Choice, 2nd Choice, 3rd choice. The Patriots then (hopefully allocate us tickets) which will be to the game that suits them best. We have had tickets for games in Sept, Oct, Nov & Dec over the past 4 years. There is no guarantee that we will get any tickets, but we have been fortunate for the past 8 or 9 years.
Secret_Seagull 86
And how long do you stay? As long as you like. Some pepes pop over for Sat to Mon, others make a mult-week vacation out of it. It all depends what you want to see and do. Thurs/Fri to Monday is fairly normal if it's just a weekend.

waspie 51
Hmmmm.... Miami on the road in the Christmas hols. Flight prices might count that one out. Baltimore 3 days before Christmas ain't happening either. Home opener against the Jets is very tempting - but I can't see us getting group tickets for that one. IMHO Pats will offer us Saints, Bucs or Browns. Not the sexiest games to be honest. Road trip aside, I'm looking at Jets (home) and/or Panthers.

Aldopatriot 44
The later in the year the better for me. Denver on Thanksgiving weekend would be epic. However Cleveland in December is a fair compromise. I think Tampa in September or New Orleans in October are both a little too early for me. And I fear that those are the games we will be given.
