Secret_Seagull 86
If I don't do the opener, then this is a real possibility. Ski for 4-5 days then back to BOS for the Philly game. If the Eagles become the road trip game, then so much the better :-) Anyone else fancy it?

I would certainly be interested if others are looking at these 2 games, so please let me know if you end up doing it.

What are the chances of that ? I've already asked :-) It could work if we get the MNF Bills game as the RT too, but as we often get one of the NFC games, the Eagles should certainly be in the running Bristol P has declared his interest too :-)

Secret_Seagull 86
did u miss my post out? Oops, Sorry Warren. So we have Jamie, me, you, Chris, and maybe Steve. Just got this from Anne Stone - President of the Pikes Peak Pats Ady, Single day skiing from Denver In 2014 they opened on these dates with these average driving times Loveland November 1 50 minutes Winter Park November 15 80 minutes Copper November 7 90 minutes Keystone November 7 90 minutes Breckenridge November 14 90 minutes I've always wanted to do Breckenridge. Will start looking at places now.
Secret_Seagull 86
There's two smaller resorts between Brenkenridge and Denver called Keystone and Arapahoe Basin. You can get a lift pass to cover both of these for just $60/day. With Breckenridge on top, and it's $98/day. Rentals (Ski+Pole+Boots) range from $17/day to $32 (Boards $22-$32). Add a helmet for $4/day Number of days could be as little as 3 or as much as 5. It's SNF at Mile High, but that's only 6:30pm local time. With enough coffee, we could head out early enough Monday to get a full day in. If we get the Eagles as the RT and people want to get back to BOS for Friday night, it would take Friday off the agenda because of the 4hr flight time and 2hr time difference. International flights currently available for £544 direct and £460 with a 1hr stopover in Reykjavik. That's cheaper than in and out to Boston at the moment! Add an internal flight for about £125

Secret_Seagull 86
Absolutely!!! The more the merrier. Jamie and I have just booked flights because a good fare come up for a 3-leg trip but with limited availability. So we pounced. Accommodation has been booked through Booking.com which has an excellent "Pay Later and Full cancellation" policy on many rooms. So if the numbers change or the Pike Peaks Pats fan club offer a group booking, we can just cancel. I'll post a few more details later.

Denver £55pp Golden £43pp Denver Airport £38 Looking at Breckenridge, I see a two-bedroom condo available for 4 nights for £520. Two single beds, one double and a sofa bed. Based on 4 sharing that's £33pp per night. However, a quick check on Booking.com shows they are changing by the minute. Secret_Seagull 86
For Breckenridge, we're looking at this as a possibility. . 3 Bedroom, Near Ski-in/Ski-Out Peak 9 Condo with Panoramic View!Eve if it's just 4 of us, that's £216 each for 4 nights. The more the merrier though, and it gets cheaper with each extra bod. For Denver weekend, I've had this from the Pikes Peak Pats .. "Hi Adrian, Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I am almost ready to put up the info for the hotel. That will be within the next few days. I have called and left a message for my contact about a suite. Once I know the logistics, we could certainly put out an email and see if anyone else is interested. I will keep my ears out for any tickets. Will email you again when I have any info from my ticket/suite guy up at Mile High. Thanks and GO PATS!"

patman 12
OK I'm in. Pam can't make it as come November we will have two more grandchildren - one just 6 weeks old. Plus she doesn't ski so has decided to give it a miss. Nice to have three Spurs fans making the trip. I've booked with BA using my Avios points - giving good prices and good times. I'm flying out on the same flight as mablc001 and flying back with Ade and Jamie. Denver to Boston is with Delta via New York leaving at 10.35. Ade - the chalet at Breckenridge looks great. Very happy to stay there. Also Ade - Yvonne happens to be in Denver in November and might be persuaded for a ski if that's OK with you. Anyone booked a Denver hotel yet ?

waspie 51
Have fun folks. Denver's a great trip, and the Pikes Peak Pats will make you welcome. I had a great time there a couple of years back. I'm giving it a miss as I've been there, done that, and there are games that interest me more this year. Plus I just don't get the attraction of skiing.

Secret_Seagull 86
Election result just in .. The people have spoken and the votes have been counted. As returning officer for the ward of "Denver Road Trip", I hereby declare that The UKPatriots have secured the Williams House seat in Breckenridge! Because of the quality of our manifesto, we now hold a majority of 9 in an 11 bed house. If the non-believers or non-voters now wish to jump ship, it does mean that we can accomodate up to 2 more singles, or 2 more couples, in our ward -> Williams House

I would have to pay up front and then make sure I can find enough tickets in the Pats world to fill it up! Any mileage on the suite Seagull? Just looked at flights from NY and they're under 100 at the moment, wouldn't be joining the skiing Parton this trip but would happily fly in for the game for the weekend.
